CONTRIBUTIONS OF DIFFERENT MATHEMATICIANS
Mathematicians since the ancient times made a hugely significant contributions to the world throughout and in all practical subjects varying from geometry to engineering, astrology to design and so on. The origin of mathematical thought lie in the concepts of number, patterns in nature, magnitude and form. The decimal system, concept of zero and negative numbers, arithmetic and algebra all began from simple concepts and ideas of our forefathers. many of the great mathematicians have gone through this world like Archimedes, known as the father of mathematics for his notable inventions in mathematics, Aryabhatta, Hipparchus, Pythagoras, Democritus, Rene Descartes, Newton, Euler and so on.
EUCLID
Euclid was one among the famous mathematicians, and he was known as the ‘Father of Geometry.’ His famous Geometry contribution is referred to as the Euclidean geometry, which is there in the Geometry chapter of class IX. He spent all his life working for mathematics and set a revolutionary contribution to Geometry.
THALES
ARCHIMEDES
‘Pythagoras theorem’ is very popular and an important mathematical formula to solve mathematical problems. Since childhood, all of us have struggled to solve mathematical problems applying the Pythagoras theorem. Pythagoras discovered this prominent theorem and he became the father of ‘Pythagoras theorem.’ Pythagoras was from Greece, but he fled off to India in the latter part of his life
There has been great and excellent mathematicians all around the world. There also new emerging talented mathematicians in the present too. The contributions of the renowned mathematicians before us are tremendous in the field of mathematics. They gave a new era to the modern mathematics. They gave us some unique views to the world of mathematics.
